Importing a Modbus RTU server data item

Data from a csv file is only imported when there are no errors in the configuration.

If there are already data items configured for the server, the existing data items and corresponding mapping will be overwritten upon import.

  1. Prerequisite
  2. You have exported a Modbus RTU server data item to a .csv file.
  3. You have edited the Modbus RTU server data item with a csv editor.
  1. Open the device view.
  2. In the device tree, double-click the server whose data item you want to import.
  3. In the data items table, click ⋮.
  4. Click Import from CSV.
  5. If there are already data items configured for the server, a dialogue box is opened.
  6. If a dialogue box is opened, click OK.
  7. A file dialogue is opened.
  8. Open the file from your file system (.csv).
