Changing the data type of a global variable

  1. Start editing the real-time application.
  2. In the menu bar, click Global variables.
  3. Select the global variable you want to change.
  4. Double-click the Data type list box.
  5. In the drop-down list, select the new data type.
  6. Press Enter.
