Updating the firmware

Do not attempt to update the firmware when you are connected via u-link Remote Access Service. The u-link Remote Access Service connection is terminated once the device enters update mode. You will not be able to connect to the device again until the device is restarted locally.

  1. Save your changes.
  2. Download the latest firmware file from the Weidmüller website.
  1. On the Starting page, click Settings.
  2. Click Firmware update.
  4. A dialogue box is displayed.
  5. Click OK.
  6. The controller enters update mode.
  7. u-create web is disconnected.
  8. The controller restarts.
  9. The connection between the controller and u-remote I/O modules is interrupted.
  10. real-time application and Node-RED flows are stopped.
  11. SWupdate is displayed.
  12. Drag-and-drop the software update into the dialog box.
  1. The upload is started. After the upload u-create web is restarted.

Examine the software version in the About dialog to see whether the firmware update was successful.
