Adding a user of the OPC UA Server

If you do not allow anonymous access, only users can use the services provided by the OPC UA Server.

  1. The OPC UA Server is started. The toggle switch is orange and in right position.

    Changes in the user configuration require a restart of the OPC UA Server. Make sure that a restart does not interfere with operations that rely on this OPC UA Server.

  2. Open the OPC UA Server configuration.
  3. Click User management.
  4. Click +.
  5. In the text box Username, enter a unique name for this user.
  6. In the text box Password, enter the password for this user. The password must be at least 8 characters long.

    To show or hide the password, click the check box Show password.

  8. Click Apply.
  9. Click OK to restart the server.
